Justin Melck (born 4 January 1983) is a South African rugby union footballer who currently plays in the position of flanker.
Born in Cape Town[2] and educated at Rondebosch Boys High School,[3] Fettes College[4] in Scotland and Stellenbosch University,[3] Melck has played for Western Province and the Super 14 side Stormers.[5]
Melck captained the Western Province side during the Currie Cup tournament in July 2007.[6]
As of the start of 2008 he had secured 31 caps playing for Western Province and 13 caps playing for Super 14 side Stormers.[7]
He has signed a three month loan deal with European Champions Munster.[8][9]
Melck has been with Saracens since February 2009 and has recently re-signed till 2012, he got married on 6 February 2010.
Melck has also tried his hand at semi-professional modelling. This year, he is Mr August in the Saracens Rugby Club's 2011/12 calendar. In this calendar, he can be seen sporting "The Thinker" pose, made famous by Auguste Rodin in his 1902 Parisian sculpture.
